With his roots in Seacoast, NH, Jake shares his food for thought with his whiskey soaked, gravely voice, an acoustic guitar, and some foot percussion. At the budding age of 22, Jake’s songs tell the tales of an old soul, who has survived the trials and troubles of labor, love, and loss; An old soul who has been molded by long nights, mild neurosis, ruckus-raising hootenannies, women, temptation, and American music. More often than not, you can find him performing in clubs, bars, and places in-between with his string band, Jake Davis & the Whiskey Stones.
Keep an ear and an eye out for Jake’s first full-length release in the Spring of 2014, and expect to see him touring the East Coast and the Greater New England area this year.Since stepping onto the scene with a bi-weekly residency at the Knot, in Durham, NH at the end of last March, Jake has played 40+ shows, including 2 weddings, the Ossipe Valley Music Festival Band Contest, a live performance on WUVR FM radio, and celebratory events such as the Sugar Hill Covered Bridge Dedication. He has shared the stage with national and regional acts such as Crushed Out, the Van Burens, and Tokyo Rosenthal and was part of a sold out New Years Eve Bash withDaemon Chili, and Long Gone at the Stone Church in Newmarket, NH.
